Crystal Mancilla is a Professional Mentor (Friend) at Friends of the Children – Stockton, bringing compassion, resilience, and a deep commitment to supporting children and youth. She has several years of experience working at a juvenile hall and the Children’s Home of Stockton, where she provided crisis intervention, emotional support, and conflict resolution for at-risk youth during some of their most challenging moments.
As a Support Specialist and Assistant Program Manager, Crystal developed individualized service plans, facilitated life skills training, and led mentoring sessions and peer support groups to promote resilience, self-sufficiency, and personal growth. A certified Pro-ACT Instructor, she applies a trauma-informed approach to every interaction, prioritizing safety, respect, and empowerment.
Crystal believes deeply in keeping families together and building strong, trusting relationships. Her dedication and belief in the potential of every child make her a powerful advocate and mentor for the youth she serves.
